Great day of hands-on, minds-on learning!Rails Girls workshop includes learning the first steps into software craftmanship in small teams. Along with actual coding, you'll get to hear great lightning talks, learn the language of web and meet other likeminded women. While we're setting up the program for yet another great day of learning, take a look at Berlin, Krakow & Singapore for a glimpse of what happens during the day. |

The Finnish technology industry is the largest and most dynamic industrial sector in Finland, accounting for 60 percent of total Finnish exports and 80 percent of Finnish private sector R&D investment. The Federation of Finnish Technology Industries serves as the voice of the industry in issues ranging from collective bargaining to advancing the interests of the sector in the domestic and international arena. It funds and initiates scores of projects and programmes designed to promote Finnish technology. The Federation has more than 1,650 member companies, covering almost 90 percent of the entire Finnish technology industry. It comprises five sub-sectors: Electronics and Electrotechnical Industry, Mechanical Engineering, Metals Industry, Consulting Engineering and Information Technology Industries.

How much does the workshop cost? Nothing, it's free! You just need to be excited!
Who is this aimed for? Women of any age with basic knowledge of working with a computer. We’ve had people of all ages taking part. Most of the program is run in english and please bring your laptop.
Can men attend? Yes, but you need to be accompanied by an interested lady. Also, girls are given a priority.
