Rails Girls comes to Galway again! During the *free* two-days workshop in June 2015, we will dive into the magical world of Ruby on Rails and build an application together, from scratch.

Lightning Talks

Naomi Freeman is an expert Rails teacher, mentor and coach. She is a Guest Instructor for Treehouse, co-organized #hackbikeshareTO and is a frequent Rails Girls Coach. She also mentors kids at the CoderDojo Docklands Dojo in Dublin, Ireland. With a background in community organizing (she was a Fellow on the 2012 Obama campaign), Naomi is always happy to speak on moving dev culture forward using community building best practices.

Naomi O'Reilly is 28 years old, working as a QA Engineer in Waratek for 3 and a half years, mainly python coding. Naomi has a BA in Computer Science and an MSc also in computer science both from UCD.

Fern Wood graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Math, but decided that web development was her passion. She is currently working at HackerOne, a security-based company out of SF and previously worked at other startups. In her spare time, she loves binge-watching Netflix, hiking, and playing board games. She is really excited to be mentoring women excited about getting into the web application industry.
